to listen to my sony cd/mp3.
theyre sound is as great as my senns.but theyre much lighter
than the senns.plus id have a better chance at replacing the
pads when they wearout.at a cheaper price.these sound great with any source of music.i use mine with my computer
i like the way they fold and close.as well as other features.

I am a blossoming audiophile and appreciate truly excellent sound. I've done the research, I own a bunch of cans (audio industry term for headphones) and you may be surprised to know that though various companies make some absolutely mind-blowing headphones with an equally mind-blowing price, the Koss PortaPro is considered one of the best audiophille cans on the market today!
Yes, these cans have a retro-back-to-the-80's look to them with "temporal pads" to make them more comfortable and distribute pressure as you decide (I personally feel that this adds to their appeal and to part of the superior functionality of the model) but they have sound that is balanced, full and wonderful. They work equally well with an audio book as they do with Country, Classical, Christian (hymns and contemporary), Rock, Pop, and Jazz. And ALL this for less than $40!
I've found myself on numerous occasions falling asleep in these and not noticing it! They have a very low impedence of only 60 Ohms so even a weak CD/MP3 player can drive them without having to crank up the sound and waste your batteries or buy a portable amp such as the boostaroo (a FANTASTIC product). On the contrary, because the transducers in the headphones can be driven with so little power, it saves batteries. But you can also plug these into your television (with an extension cord, of course) and get BIG Sound from DVDS.
In conclusion, I just wish to reiterate that this product that looks like a blast from the 80's has been going strong from Koss SINCE the 80's, is considered one of Koss' finest product, folds down into a tiny portable little metallic egg shape and it fits in a snappy little faux leather case provided by Koss as well as a gold-plated adaptor AND has a NO QUESTIONS ASKED LIFETIME WARRANTY!
